"An inebriated midnight melee between Motörhead, Velvet Underground, The Birthday Party, and Butthole Surfers."
Belgian band La Muerte achieved Cult status with their unique style of noise/metal in the 80ties. Total trailblazers who are still full of energy, passion, and bile! For us, La Muerte is the source code. A fire-breathing reminder of the time industrial kids had brass balls and steel toes. And it doesn't hurt one bit that these fine folks are involved in this release: Richard 23, Patrick Codenys, Mussolini Headkick, The Weathermen, John Fryer, Doganov, Scarabée, The Joy Thieves, and our own Sick Jokes.

La Muerte
Bio:
Since their come-back, La Muerte issued not less than 5 releases: EviL, the double live album released right after the AB show. Followed by “Murder Machine”, which brings the new line-up in studio for the first time. 2017 witnessed a studio reunion with faithful friends, FRONT 242 members RICHARD 23 and PATRICK CODENYS, for the ultimate version of “Headhunter”, mixed by Zeuss (Rob Zombie). In May 2018, they released the limited fans-only 7” L.S.D for The Holy Man, taken from the later album simply named “La Muerte” that was highly praised in Belgium and abroad for its relevancy.
“…like dEUS, Front 242, Arno and Channel Zero, in their respective genres, La Muerte is a group that has marked the spirits with a very personal interpretation of the musical genre they operate ...”
2021, the band just finished a brand-new album that will be released somewhere in 2022. It will reflect what La Muerte sounds like today: modern, raw, heavy, not afraid of experimentation, without compromises, unique, and… selfish.

Massive riffs and moribund themes power this aptly titled slab o' doom from Greek stoner metal outfit Seer of the Void. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 8, 2023
Brighton, UK band leaven surging hard rock with spaced-out stoner-doom on their second LP, recorded in an old chapel on the English coast. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 9, 2022
While these are good remixes, they are ironically stripped down to usual EBM trappings. It lacks a LOT of wild experimentation with arrangements, bombastic use of high dynamic range capabilities and Mariana trench's deep use of sequencers which made Front 242 a Sistine Chapel of the genre.
Nevertheless, it's an enjoyable EBM Fix ►For You◀
I do appreciate visceral energy on certain songs which added another layer to the originals.
